Feeling truly seen and heard can make a big difference. Life can be tough, and it helps to have a private, supportive space to pause, reflect, and talk through what’s been weighing on you. I come to this work with care and curiosity, sitting alongside you to listen, ask questions, and think things through together. We’ll explore your experiences, make sense of how you got here, and notice the strengths you already have as you move forward. Come as you are. Together, we’ll embrace our shared humanity with openness, honesty, compassion, and space for insight, growth, and even a few moments of laughter.

Treatment Approach

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
  • Eclectic Therapy Draws from different therapeutic methods based on what fits each client best. It is flexible and personalized rather than following one single model.
  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) Focuses on strengthening emotional bonds in couples or families. It helps people identify negative cycles and create more secure connections.
  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) A structured therapy that uses guided eye movements to help process traumatic memories. It is widely recognized for treating PTSD and trauma-related conditions.
  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) Helps clients heal by working with different ‘parts’ of themselves, like inner critics or wounded children. It fosters harmony within the self.
  • Psychodynamic Therapy Explores unconscious thoughts and patterns that influence current behavior. It builds insight into how the past impacts the present.
Approach Description: My approach to therapy is flexible and shaped around you. I draw from a variety of well-established approaches, including psychodynamic therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), attachment-based work, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), and EMDR. Rather than relying on a single method, I blend what’s most helpful for you and your goals.

Fees
  • Average Session Fee 150.00
  • Affordable sliding scale therapy: apply if you may be eligible.
  • I believe that financial barriers shouldn’t keep anyone from accessing therapy. We can discuss compassionate, sliding-scale fees so that you don’t have to miss out on support. Sessions will remain the standard length, and there is no limit to the number of sessions you can access at your agreed rate. If your financial situation changes, we can revisit and adjust the fees at that time. My goal is to make therapy accessible while maintaining the consistency and quality of care you deserve.

Karen (Ellis) Croley Practice Description
I offer in-person therapy in a warm, comfortable, and inviting space in Windsor, Ontario. You’re welcome to bring your slippers or fluffiest socks, your favourite beverage, and settle in with a blanket if that helps you feel at ease. This is a space to get comfortable, put your feet up, and have a real conversation. If we’re meeting virtually, you may be introduced to Tallie, my much-loved office companion and occasional shadow dog. Our online sessions are private, secure, and grounded in a come-as-you-are approach—no makeup required, no pressure to be anything other than yourself. Just a supportive space to show up and chat.
