I want to help you get there!

Treatment Approach

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
  • Integrative Therapy Combines techniques from multiple approaches into a customized plan. It adapts to each client’s unique situation and needs.
  • Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) Combines mindfulness practices with CBT to prevent depression relapse. It helps people notice thoughts without judgment and respond more calmly.
  • Motivational Interviewing (MI) A collaborative, client-centered approach that strengthens motivation for change. It is especially effective for addictions and health behaviors.
  • Multicultural Therapy Acknowledges the role of culture, race, and identity in mental health. It values diversity and adapts treatment to each person’s background.
  • Person-Centered Therapy (Rogerian) Emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. It provides a safe space for self-discovery and growth.
  • Psychodynamic Therapy Explores unconscious thoughts and patterns that influence current behavior. It builds insight into how the past impacts the present.
  • Psychoeducational Therapy Provides education and coping tools about mental health conditions. It empowers clients with knowledge and practical skills.
  • Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) Focuses on solutions and future goals rather than past problems. It is practical, short-term, and goal-driven.
  • Somatic Therapy Helps clients notice how emotions are stored in the body. It uses breath, movement, and awareness for healing trauma and stress.
Approach Description: My approach to therapy is an integrative focus primarily using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I enjoy using practical application rather than just simply traditional talk therapy. I am trained in various modalities and can include them based on your unique needs and goals. You and I will collaborate on determining the best method suited to you needs.

Angela Fitzpatrick Practice Description
Hi I'm Angela and I specialize in working with introvert women and people of color struggling with anxiety and self-esteem issues. Clients come to me looking for a holistic therapist who sees them as a whole person and helps them discover ways to make practical changes to achieve their goals. Sessions with me are collaborative, practical, and empowering. I don't position myself as the expert of my client's life, rather I bring a space to process experiences, explore new perspectives, collaborate on treatment focus, and receive support.
