My clients are typically LGBTQIA+ professionals in their 30s and 40s who are struggling with some aspects of relationships or dating, and with their own self-worth, often because of a conservative, religious upbringing. I help people learn to manage anxiety and improve their relationships with others, and we go beyond just scratching the surface. Some of my clients are in the process of coming out for the first time. Many are experiencing the aftermath of religious harm or religious trauma. Many are trans folks in the process of their transition.

Treatment Approach
- Eclectic Therapy Draws from different therapeutic methods based on what fits each client best. It is flexible and personalized rather than following one single model.
- Existential / Humanistic Therapy Encourages people to explore meaning, freedom, and authenticity in their lives. It focuses on personal growth and living in alignment with one’s values.
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) A structured therapy that uses guided eye movements to help process traumatic memories. It is widely recognized for treating PTSD and trauma-related conditions.
- Feminist Therapy Addresses how gender roles, power, and social inequality affect mental health. It empowers clients to challenge limiting beliefs and systems.
- Motivational Interviewing (MI) A collaborative, client-centered approach that strengthens motivation for change. It is especially effective for addictions and health behaviors.
Approach Description: My approach is conversational. We can meet in person, or online. The first few sessions of therapy are a chance for me to get to know you, for you to get comfortable, and for us to assess and establish goals for therapy. We may talk about using EMDR, if appropriate and if you are interested in that approach. When starting therapy, it is best to meet weekly, but if that doesn't work for you, plan on a minimum of biweekly. I sometimes use "homework," but this is something that you and I would discuss and agree upon together.
