I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 10 years of experience in the mental health field. I provide in-person and video-based therapy in Scottsdale Arizona. I enjoy supporting clients who are navigating times of change or transition, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, and relational or family challenges. My approach is holistic and integrative. I prioritize creating a safe, collaborative, and empowering environment while gently helping you grow and change. I understand from personal experience that healing doesn’t happen overnight, and that reaching out for support can sometimes feel overwhelming. These experiences have shaped the empathy, openness, and genuineness I bring to my work with clients.

Treatment Approach

  • Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) Helps people accept difficult thoughts and feelings instead of fighting them, while committing to actions that reflect their values. It blends mindfulness with practical behavior strategies.
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
  • Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) An evidence-based treatment for PTSD that teaches clients to reframe unhelpful thoughts about trauma. It helps reduce guilt, shame, and fear.
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Combines CBT with mindfulness to help regulate emotions, tolerate stress, and build stronger relationships. Originally designed for borderline personality disorder, it’s now used more broadly.
  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) Focuses on strengthening emotional bonds in couples or families. It helps people identify negative cycles and create more secure connections.
  • Existential / Humanistic Therapy Encourages people to explore meaning, freedom, and authenticity in their lives. It focuses on personal growth and living in alignment with one’s values.
  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) A structured therapy that uses guided eye movements to help process traumatic memories. It is widely recognized for treating PTSD and trauma-related conditions.
  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) Helps clients heal by working with different ‘parts’ of themselves, like inner critics or wounded children. It fosters harmony within the self.
  • Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) Combines mindfulness practices with CBT to prevent depression relapse. It helps people notice thoughts without judgment and respond more calmly.

My therapeutic approach is collaborative, supportive, and grounded in evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I also draw from Humanistic and Existential approaches, and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), to help my clients gain deeper self-understanding, build resilience, and create meaningful change even in the face of life’s challenges. I strive to balance insight-oriented work with practical strategies. I believe in a whole-person approach to wellness, recognizing the important connections between mental health, physical health, relationships, purpose, and overall quality of life.
