We don’t just treat symptoms here, we work with lives. The therapy we offer here is personal, involved, and active. We help you get to the heart of the issues and we won’t hold back. Therapy helps people to develop a deeper understanding of themselves and their relationships, become free of old patterns, or simply find ways to process pain or memories that have kept them feeling stuck.
Psychotherapy is a healing process that allows people to not only start feeling better but gain insight, awareness, and ultimately begin trusting their experience and intuitions. We want to help you get to know yourself and move past whatever it is that is holding you back from the life you imagine you could have.
Dr. Keil has assembled an incredible team of clinical psychologists in Newport Beach. We are active, involved therapists whose life’s work is aimed at providing insight, growth, and healing for those that enter our practice. Our teams strengths are honesty, authenticity, and compassion (in greek literally means “to suffer together”). It is our goal to get you better as fast as possible.
We pride ourselves in providing the highest quality mental health care to the people in this community. We have a heart and passion for this work and care deeply for the people that come to see us. We look forward to getting to know you, understanding your unique challenges, and meeting you exactly where you are.
We have an incredible team here. In fact, we joined together as a team because of our shared love for psychotherapy and the art of providing quality psychotherapy. We are not the head-nodding, passive, always-in-agreement type. You can expect to be deeply understood, engaged, and cared for but you will also be challenged in many ways. We will be real, involved, depth-oriented, and the antithesis of the classic distant armchair professional. We don't rely on a blanketed approach and create a unique therapy to each person we meet. We often hear this praise and enjoy our reputation as such.

Mental health is complex, and it would be a lot easier if we were like cars. Busted radiator, no problem, tink tink tink, and back on the road. Unfortunately, we don't work that way, and be weary of those who say they have a simple answer or your particular Allen wrench. Maybe at this point you have even been down the psychiatry path but found no relief. The self-help books, the diet, the exercise, yoga, hot yoga, working more, working less, and the host of other well-intended avenues have been exhausted, and here you are.
I have found that it usually takes a series of these attempts before we entertain the scary idea of seeing a "shrink." However, it just may be that you are in the right place. Therapy isn't a magical cure, but it's the best path I know to heal, grow, gain insight, and feel better. In the process of therapy you will likely make sense of your past and begin to understand how it affects your present. Many find greater awareness of themselves, and therefore are better able to navigate relationships and challenges in their lives. I know – I've been there. Therapy is more than just "having a good listener" or embarking on another self-improvement project. Therapy is a relationship between two people committed to facing the deepest truths of our lives so that we can be healed. Making that first appointment can be difficult and may even provoke anxiety, but I know of no better or more worthy investment than psychotherapy.
We are a small, specialty practice and the clinicians here are dedicated psychologists whose work is much more than "a job." We see a limited number of people and those who enter are cared for like family - psychotherapy is our passion, craft, and life's work. Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions you might have, especially if this is your first glance at therapy. There is no such thing as a bad question and no shame in looking for help. Even if we won't be your therapist, we like to help people get to where they need to go. We look forward to getting to know you, understanding your unique challenges and meeting you exactly where you are at this time, on this day. Our goal is to walk alongside you in this healing process and help you to navigate difficult times.
In order to actualize our mission of providing the highest quality mental health care our providers meet frequently as a treatment team to support each-others work. We also regularly and consistently collaborate care with other healthcare providers in your network (e.g. psychiatrists, specialists, primary care docs, nutritionists, coaches) to ensure a holistic approach to your health. We find that when the professionals caring for you are in communication and alignment you get the best care possible. We also have trusted network of professionals who share our same dedication and care and connect our patients to additional resources when needed.
