Being in the nexus of something means you are right in the middle of it hence, easy to feel overwhelmed by the multitude of things coming at you. At Nexus, I will work with you within the context of a nonjudgmental, collaborative and healing therapeutic relationship to parse out and clearly see the interwoven links and connections that contribute to how you experience, perceive and interpret life's challenges, difficulties and obstacles. Understanding these connections allows for the separation of what is important to you and focus on your goal(s) to improve your mental, emotional and spiritual well-being.
While I work with clients from all walks of life with varied life issues & psychological disorders, my clinical work is largely focused on working with clients affected by Dissociative Disorders and PTSD. Since graduating in 2013, I have accumulated over 10,000 clinical hours with this population & work using range of approaches depending on client needs.

Treatment Approach
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
- Eclectic Therapy Draws from different therapeutic methods based on what fits each client best. It is flexible and personalized rather than following one single model.
- Experiential Therapy Involves hands-on activities to bring emotions into the present moment. It helps clients process feelings more deeply than through conversation alone.
- Feminist Therapy Addresses how gender roles, power, and social inequality affect mental health. It empowers clients to challenge limiting beliefs and systems.
- Integrative Therapy Combines techniques from multiple approaches into a customized plan. It adapts to each client’s unique situation and needs.
- Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) A short-term approach focused on improving relationships and social support. It is often used for depression and grief.
- Narrative Therapy Encourages people to view problems as separate from themselves and reframe their life story. It helps build resilience and self-identity.
- Person-Centered Therapy (Rogerian) Emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. It provides a safe space for self-discovery and growth.
- Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) Helps clients challenge and replace irrational beliefs. It is an action-oriented approach for lasting change.
- Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) Focuses on solutions and future goals rather than past problems. It is practical, short-term, and goal-driven.
Approach Description: My work with clients is the belief that each individual is just that - an individual. Over the years I have worked tirelessly at creating a uniquely crafted integrative Feminist Cultural-Relational approach. This feminist backdrop allows me to draw on multiple empirically supported tools and techniques from various psychological frameworks and philosophies depending on the client in front of me.

It is my belief and practice that you, the client, deserve to know something about the therapist you choose to work with. In that vein, here’s a bit about me.
I am Certified Clinical Counsellor (CCC; Registration #12031) and since graduating with my Master’s degree in 2013, I have accrued over 10,000 clinical hours working with adults including men, women, the LGBTQ community, veterans and first responders from various cultures and socioeconomic backgrounds. In addition to working with people that have more common psychological concerns (e.g., such as depression, anxiety and self-esteem, life transition), I continue to develop an expertise working with the LGBTQ issues, Veteran’s reintegration and individuals who have experienced various types of trauma (e.g., interpersonal trauma, war, natural disasters, ritualistic abuse) and who are affected by Post-Traumatic Stress and Dissociative Disorders.
