Amenah Arman (She/Her)
Therapist, MS-CLINICAL MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELING, Nationally Certified Counselor
Many people come to therapy feeling misunderstood or “othered,” even in spaces meant to support them. You may have tried therapy before and found yourself explaining your identity, culture, ambition, or creative life just to be understood. If you’ve struggled to trust that someone could truly “get it,” you’re not alone. I provide trauma-informed online therapy for founders, creatives, and high-performing professionals navigating burnout, anxiety, and chronic pressure.

Treatment Approach
- Art Therapy Uses creative activities like drawing, painting, or sculpture as a way to express emotions. It is especially helpful when words are hard to find.
- Drama Therapy Uses role-play, storytelling, and theater techniques to explore problems and emotions. It helps people practice new ways of relating to others.
- Existential / Humanistic Therapy Encourages people to explore meaning, freedom, and authenticity in their lives. It focuses on personal growth and living in alignment with one’s values.
- Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) Combines mindfulness practices with CBT to prevent depression relapse. It helps people notice thoughts without judgment and respond more calmly.
- Narrative Therapy Encourages people to view problems as separate from themselves and reframe their life story. It helps build resilience and self-identity.
- Psychodrama A group therapy that uses role-play and dramatization to process emotions. It helps clients gain perspective and release tension.
- Somatic Therapy Helps clients notice how emotions are stored in the body. It uses breath, movement, and awareness for healing trauma and stress.
- Transpersonal Therapy Integrates spirituality and higher states of consciousness with psychology. It encourages growth beyond the individual self.
Approach Description: My work integrates trauma-informed psychotherapy, narrative therapy, and nervous system regulation to address the deeper patterns driving overwork, perfectionism, and chronic stress. Rather than focusing only on coping strategies, therapy helps you develop emotional steadiness, clearer decision-making, and the capacity to build, lead, and create without losing yourself in the process.

Sane in the Membrane was created as a space for founders, creatives, and high-performing professionals navigating burnout, anxiety, and constant pressure. Many of the people I work with are building companies, leading teams, or creating meaningful work while privately managing the strain of sustained responsibility. This practice is designed for people who often feel different in the rooms they occupy and want therapy that honors their complexity.
