Troy Stone - Couples and Marriage Therapy Practice Description
Hi, I’m Troy, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and founder of Ibis Counseling, a private practice specializing in couples therapy and relationship counseling. I help couples rebuild trust, improve communication, and move through conflict with greater emotional safety, clarity, and connection. Relationship distress often extends beyond the couple. It can show up as anxiety, loneliness, parenting stress, intimacy, and a sense of feeling disconnected or alone in the relationship. I work with couples, individuals, and families navigating relationship challenges, marriage counseling, infidelity, trust issues, communication breakdowns, attachment wounds, life transitions, and personal growth. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based models, including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), the Gottman Method, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and systems theory. Together, we slow down reactive cycles, uncover the deeper patterns driving conflict, and build healthier ways of communicating, repairing, and reconnecting. You don’t need to have everything figured out before beginning therapy. Many clients come in feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or stuck in repeating patterns that haven’t improved despite their best efforts. Therapy provides a private, supportive space to gain clarity, repair disconnection, and create lasting change in how you relate to yourself and those closest to you. Whether you’re seeking marriage counseling, navigating a breakup, healing from betrayal, or wanting to strengthen an already strong relationship, I offer a thoughtful, grounded space for meaningful change. I’d be honored to support you in that process.
