Reconnect with yourself and restore inner steadiness. Many women reach a point where the way they’ve been living is no longer sustainable—for their energy, wellbeing, or the life they are ready to step into. I’m a psychotherapist supporting women who are navigating emotional trauma, burnout, and the impact of difficult relational experiences. Often this includes patterns of overgiving, self-abandonment, and feeling disconnected from themselves. My focus is on helping you make sense of what you’ve been through and understand the patterns that have shaped how you relate to yourself. This is not about becoming someone new, but about reconnecting with who you are beneath what you’ve had to adapt to.

Treatment Approach

  • Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) Builds skills in self-kindness and compassion toward others. It is especially helpful for people who struggle with shame or self-criticism.
  • Contemplative Psychotherapy Combines mindfulness and meditation practices with modern psychology. It encourages awareness and compassion as part of the healing process.
  • Existential / Humanistic Therapy Encourages people to explore meaning, freedom, and authenticity in their lives. It focuses on personal growth and living in alignment with one’s values.
  • Experiential Therapy Involves hands-on activities to bring emotions into the present moment. It helps clients process feelings more deeply than through conversation alone.
  • Integrative Therapy Combines techniques from multiple approaches into a customized plan. It adapts to each client’s unique situation and needs.
  • Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) A short-term approach focused on improving relationships and social support. It is often used for depression and grief.
  • Jungian Therapy Draws on Carl Jung’s ideas about archetypes, dreams, and the collective unconscious. It helps people explore deeper layers of meaning.
  • Person-Centered Therapy (Rogerian) Emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. It provides a safe space for self-discovery and growth.
  • Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) Helps clients challenge and replace irrational beliefs. It is an action-oriented approach for lasting change.
  • Reality Therapy / Choice Theory Focuses on present choices and taking responsibility for actions. It helps clients create more fulfilling relationships and lives.
  • Relational Psychotherapy Emphasizes the healing power of the therapist-client relationship. It uses trust and safety as a foundation for change.
  • Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) Focuses on solutions and future goals rather than past problems. It is practical, short-term, and goal-driven.
  • Somatic Therapy Helps clients notice how emotions are stored in the body. It uses breath, movement, and awareness for healing trauma and stress.
  • Transpersonal Therapy Integrates spirituality and higher states of consciousness with psychology. It encourages growth beyond the individual self.
Approach Description: I take a heart-centered, practical approach to therapy, offering both deep emotional support and clear guidance. My work is grounded in education, healing, and moving forward—helping you understand and untangle from the toxic dynamics you may have experienced, so you can reclaim your sense of self. Healing is about more than just processing the past—it’s about reconciling with yourself, creating a strong foundation, and stepping into the life you truly want to live. Together, we’ll work to build clarity, confidence, and healthy boundaries, ensuring that old patterns no longer hold you back. I believe in making therapy a safe, empowering, and transformative experience—one that supports you in not only healing but also moving forward with strength and self-trust.

Katie Feder Practice Description
My work supports you to gently unwind patterns of overgiving and self-abandonment shaped by trauma, conditioning, or relational dynamics that often lead to burnout and exhaustion. I work a little differently from traditional session-by-session therapy. I primarily support women through focused six-week therapeutic journeys designed for depth, continuity, and meaningful change. This allows us to work within a consistent and supported container where we can stay with what is unfolding, rather than working in isolation from session to session. It creates the space for real integration at both a nervous system and belief level. Together, we focus on building awareness, self-compassion, and a stronger internal foundation so you can relate to yourself in a way that feels safer, more grounded, and genuinely supportive. One of the greatest catalysts to healing is your connection with your therapist. For this reason, I offer a free 15-minute introductory chat, giving you the chance to sense how I work and explore how I can specifically support your journey. Please do reach out if you would like to explore this as an initial option for you.
