Treatment Approach
- Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) Helps people accept difficult thoughts and feelings instead of fighting them, while committing to actions that reflect their values. It blends mindfulness with practical behavior strategies.
- Biopsychosocial Therapy Takes into account biological, psychological, and social factors in understanding mental health. It looks at the whole person, not just symptoms.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Combines CBT with mindfulness to help regulate emotions, tolerate stress, and build stronger relationships. Originally designed for borderline personality disorder, it’s now used more broadly.
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) A structured therapy that uses guided eye movements to help process traumatic memories. It is widely recognized for treating PTSD and trauma-related conditions.
- Person-Centered Therapy (Rogerian) Emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. It provides a safe space for self-discovery and growth.
- Psychoeducational Therapy Provides education and coping tools about mental health conditions. It empowers clients with knowledge and practical skills.
- Psychosocial Therapy Looks at how social and environmental factors affect psychological health. It emphasizes relationships, community, and resilience.
Approach Description: Our clinicians specialize in a range on therapeutic modalities including CBT, DBT, and EMDR. All of our clinicians are trained in the Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS) to provide expert management of individuals experiencing suicidal thoughts.

Willow Health provides short term virtual crisis care for individuals in mental health crises. Our team of psychiatrists, therapists, nurse practitioners and certified peers create personalized care plans, offering 24/7 crisis support during your time in our program.
Our services are short term in nature, lasting up to 12 weeks depending on your needs. This means that at the end of your time with us, we’ll make sure you’re connected to ongoing care and support to continue your recovery outside of Willow.
Getting started is simple. You can schedule a virtual assessment as soon as today, from the comfort of your home. Your first meeting will last about 90 minutes. You’ll talk with a therapist and a psychiatrist or psychiatric NP who will help design a treatment plan that works for you. Depending on your needs, your care may include medication management, therapy (including specialized support for thoughts of self harm) and care management. Our Crisis Program is structured as a personalized IOP and includes medication management, multiple sessions of therapy per week, and the option to join up to three group therapy sessions weekly. All of this is offered alongside individual recovery coaching with a peer specialist, as well as care management to ensure a smooth transition in treatment upon completion of the program.
In addition to our free 20-minute info call for prospective patients, we now offer on-demand appointments that patients can access directly. This allows prospective patients to connect immediately with a member of our team to learn more about Willow and then - if appropriate - be scheduled for a full intake the same day, rather than the typical 1-2 day turnaround expected per the Free Info Call approach.
If this is a life-threatening emergency, please call 911 or the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline at 988.
