Andrea Meier, LLC | Holistic Wellness Collective (She/Her)

Licensed Professional Counselor, M.S., LPC, LAC
therapist: Andrea Meier, LLC | Holistic Wellness Collective,
South Carolina
Welcome! My passion is supporting and guiding individuals, couples and families overwhelmed by anxiety, trauma, addictions and relational challenges so that they can heal from what is keeping them stuck, find calm and peace in the present and build confidence in the future. I specialize in offering holistic, integrative and evidence-based approaches, including EMDR, IFS, CBT, Somatic, KAP and Gottman. My clients find that they feel comfortable, trusting and relaxed with me allowing them to work more deeply. I'm a real person with personal and professional expertise that brings compassion, flexibility and humor, when appropriate. With 25 years of experience, I have found personalized, integrative approaches to be most effective, helping clients get unstuck from points they've hit in months or years of previous talk therapy or self-help. I bring this expertise to my holistic wellness collective where our holistic therapists specialize in targeting anxiety, trauma and relationships. I would be happy to chat to learn more about your personal goals. I encourage you to trust yourself as you explore who feels like a good fit. If you are interested in working with me or a therapist at the Collective (varying rates by therapist and approach), please reach out to set up a free consultation. We would be thrilled to welcome you!

Treatment Approach

  • Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) Helps people accept difficult thoughts and feelings instead of fighting them, while committing to actions that reflect their values. It blends mindfulness with practical behavior strategies.
  • Behavioral Therapy Uses learning techniques like reinforcement and practice to change unwanted behaviors. It is often applied to phobias, anxiety, and habits.
  • Biofeedback / Neurofeedback Teaches people to control body or brain activity using real-time monitoring. It’s often used for stress, anxiety, ADHD, and migraines.
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Combines CBT with mindfulness to help regulate emotions, tolerate stress, and build stronger relationships. Originally designed for borderline personality disorder, it’s now used more broadly.
  • Eclectic Therapy Draws from different therapeutic methods based on what fits each client best. It is flexible and personalized rather than following one single model.
  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) Focuses on strengthening emotional bonds in couples or families. It helps people identify negative cycles and create more secure connections.
  • Equine-Assisted Therapy (Horse Therapy) Involves interactions with horses to support emotional awareness and growth. It can build trust, confidence, and calmness.
  • Experiential Therapy Involves hands-on activities to bring emotions into the present moment. It helps clients process feelings more deeply than through conversation alone.
  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) A structured therapy that uses guided eye movements to help process traumatic memories. It is widely recognized for treating PTSD and trauma-related conditions.
  • Family Systems Therapy Looks at problems within the context of the family as a whole. It aims to improve communication and balance in family relationships.
  • Gottman Method Couples Therapy Based on decades of research, this method gives couples tools to improve communication, manage conflict, and strengthen intimacy.
  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) Helps clients heal by working with different ‘parts’ of themselves, like inner critics or wounded children. It fosters harmony within the self.
  • Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) A short-term approach focused on improving relationships and social support. It is often used for depression and grief.
  • Ketamine-Assisted Therapy Combines low doses of ketamine with psychotherapy to treat depression, trauma, and anxiety. It can provide relief when other methods haven’t worked.
  • Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) Combines mindfulness practices with CBT to prevent depression relapse. It helps people notice thoughts without judgment and respond more calmly.
  • Motivational Interviewing (MI) A collaborative, client-centered approach that strengthens motivation for change. It is especially effective for addictions and health behaviors.
  • Narrative Therapy Encourages people to view problems as separate from themselves and reframe their life story. It helps build resilience and self-identity.
  • Person-Centered Therapy (Rogerian) Emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. It provides a safe space for self-discovery and growth.
  • Psychoeducational Therapy Provides education and coping tools about mental health conditions. It empowers clients with knowledge and practical skills.
  • Relational Psychotherapy Emphasizes the healing power of the therapist-client relationship. It uses trust and safety as a foundation for change.
  • Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) Focuses on solutions and future goals rather than past problems. It is practical, short-term, and goal-driven.
  • Somatic Therapy Helps clients notice how emotions are stored in the body. It uses breath, movement, and awareness for healing trauma and stress.
Approach Description: Our approach is person-centered, holistic, and integrative, pulling from traditional talk therapy and targeted interventions to go deeper (EMDR, IFS, and somatic therapies). We create a warm, compassionate, and safe space where we collaborate on your healing, presence and growth journey. We will integrate grounding, body awareness, and practical strategies in a way that is individualized for your needs and goals.
