Approach Description: I use a revolutionary approach called Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. We will focus on what you want to achieve through therapy rather than analyzing the problem(s) that brought you there. While this approach respects your past and what brought you to this point, SFBT places the focus on what you want. I will empower you to create a concrete vision of a preferred future. In working toward this future the problems and the past become more manageable. This approach affirms that no problem happens all the time. There are always times, even though they may be very brief, when the problem is absent or just a little better. These moments hold valuable answers and examines what is different on these occasions. By bringing these small successes to your awareness, and helping you repeat these successful things when the problem is not there or less severe, you can move toward the future you have identified.
