Approach Description: I begin with deep listening -- so that I not only understand what my clients are saying but can also feel what they are feeling. In this way, I come to know my clients deeply and my clients come to know that they are not alone with their feelings and they are not "crazy." I treat each client based on who they are and on their unique life experiences. I share my insights and make suggestions, always keeping an open mind. I work WITH my clients, not ON them and together we find solutions. My clients report relief and comfort almost immediately. As they learn and grow, most come to realize they are stronger and more capable than they ever realized because I am usually able to help my clients use whatever they have experienced (even the most painful things) as a way of promoting growth and healing.
