I started Clearway Psychology and Wellness because I believe therapy should feel like a genuine conversation, not a clinical transaction. My approach is collaborative and grounded — I meet clients where they are, without judgment, and we work together toward what actually matters to them. I draw on evidence-based methods, but what guides me most is the relationship itself: that sense of being truly heard and understood is where real change begins. Whether you're coming in as an individual navigating something hard, or as a couple trying to find your way back to each other, I bring warmth, honesty, and a deep respect for your experience. If you've been thinking about reaching out, this is a good place to start.

Treatment Approach

  • Behavioral Therapy Uses learning techniques like reinforcement and practice to change unwanted behaviors. It is often applied to phobias, anxiety, and habits.
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Combines CBT with mindfulness to help regulate emotions, tolerate stress, and build stronger relationships. Originally designed for borderline personality disorder, it’s now used more broadly.
  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) Focuses on strengthening emotional bonds in couples or families. It helps people identify negative cycles and create more secure connections.
  • Gottman Method Couples Therapy Based on decades of research, this method gives couples tools to improve communication, manage conflict, and strengthen intimacy.
  • Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) Combines mindfulness practices with CBT to prevent depression relapse. It helps people notice thoughts without judgment and respond more calmly.
  • Narrative Therapy Encourages people to view problems as separate from themselves and reframe their life story. It helps build resilience and self-identity.
  • Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) Focuses on solutions and future goals rather than past problems. It is practical, short-term, and goal-driven.
  • Somatic Therapy Helps clients notice how emotions are stored in the body. It uses breath, movement, and awareness for healing trauma and stress.
Approach Description: My approach to therapy is collaborative, evidence-based, and deeply relational. I believe the therapeutic relationship itself is one of the most powerful drivers of change, that sense of being genuinely heard, understood, and met without judgment creates the foundation from which real growth becomes possible. My work with couples draws on two of the most well-researched frameworks in couples therapy: the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). The Gottman Method helps partners recognize the patterns keeping them stuck, rebuild friendship and trust, and develop concrete tools for navigating conflict in ways that bring them closer rather than further apart. EFT works at a deeper level, helping couples identify the emotional cycles beneath their arguments and reconnect with the vulnerability and attachment needs that often go unspoken. Whether you're in crisis, feeling disconnected, or wanting to build something stronger than what you have now, these approaches offer a powerful path forward together. For individuals, I draw on a range of evidence-based methods tailored to the person in front of me rather than a fixed formula. I work with anxiety, depression, stress, self-worth, grief, and the complicated emotions that accompany major life transitions. ADHD is also a significant part of my practice, both in individual therapy and within relationships, where its impact is often deeply felt but not always recognized. I work with clients navigating ADHD across the lifespan, and I bring a thoughtful, informed lens to how it shows up in daily life and in connection with others. My style is warm and direct, I'll sit with you in the hard stuff, and I'll also gently challenge you when that's what growth requires. No matter what brings you to therapy, you won't be rushed, labeled, or handed a one-size-fits-all solution. We'll move at a pace that feels right, with a clear sense of where we're headed and why.

Clearway Psychology and Wellness Inc. Practice Description
Clearway Psychology and Wellness was built on a simple belief: that the capacity for change already lives within you. Therapy isn't about fixing something broken, it's about creating the right conditions for growth that was always possible. That philosophy is reflected even in the name and symbol of this practice. The acorn has long represented potential, resilience, and transformation - a small seed that, given the right conditions, becomes something strong and enduring. At Clearway, that image means something. Healing rarely happens all at once. It grows quietly, steadily, and often in ways you don't notice until you look back at how far you've come. You bring the seed. Therapy provides the conditions. Clearway offers individual and couples therapy from a warm, welcoming office in St. Albert, Alberta, with virtual sessions available to clients across the province. Whether you're coming in person or connecting from home, you'll find a space that feels unhurried, judgment-free, and genuinely focused on you. I work with adults at all stages of life — those in acute crisis, those carrying something heavy for a long time, and those who simply sense that something needs to shift. New clients are currently being welcomed, and I'm happy to connect for an initial conversation to see if Clearway feels like the right fit.
