Treatment Approach
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Combines CBT with mindfulness to help regulate emotions, tolerate stress, and build stronger relationships. Originally designed for borderline personality disorder, it’s now used more broadly.
- Motivational Interviewing (MI) A collaborative, client-centered approach that strengthens motivation for change. It is especially effective for addictions and health behaviors.

Our minds and bodies are strongly interconnected and I utilize mindfulness skills and relaxation techniques to allow individuals to feel more connected to themselves and those around them. In addition, I assist people by increasing their self-confidence, improving motivation, learning to set and maintain boundaries, and enhance communication.
I offer patients the option to include yogic breathing and poses in session. Emotional struggles store themselves within the physical body. Incorporating yoga can help open the mind and body from stress. I am a former group therapist at Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital and researcher at Compass Health Center. Author of: I Wish I Knew This Sooner.
