A human being, by nature, is full of contradictions. I believe a strong therapeutic alliance is essential to the therapy process. The experience of "feeling" seen, or felt, or heard, is the beginning of healing. Knowing that while you are unique, you are not alone. My belief is that strong therapy starts with the therapeutic relationship.

Treatment Approach
- Biopsychosocial Therapy Takes into account biological, psychological, and social factors in understanding mental health. It looks at the whole person, not just symptoms.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Combines CBT with mindfulness to help regulate emotions, tolerate stress, and build stronger relationships. Originally designed for borderline personality disorder, it’s now used more broadly.
- Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) Focuses on strengthening emotional bonds in couples or families. It helps people identify negative cycles and create more secure connections.
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) A structured therapy that uses guided eye movements to help process traumatic memories. It is widely recognized for treating PTSD and trauma-related conditions.
- Integrative Therapy Combines techniques from multiple approaches into a customized plan. It adapts to each client’s unique situation and needs.
- Internal Family Systems (IFS) Helps clients heal by working with different ‘parts’ of themselves, like inner critics or wounded children. It fosters harmony within the self.
- Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) A short-term approach focused on improving relationships and social support. It is often used for depression and grief.
- Psychoeducational Therapy Provides education and coping tools about mental health conditions. It empowers clients with knowledge and practical skills.
- Psychosocial Therapy Looks at how social and environmental factors affect psychological health. It emphasizes relationships, community, and resilience.
- Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) Helps clients challenge and replace irrational beliefs. It is an action-oriented approach for lasting change.
Approach Description: My approach is to understand my client as a whole person and engage with them in identifying their mental health goals. Balancing clinical acumen with client preferences, we will collaboratively design a treatment plan using appropriate evidence based therapies to help you reach your goals.

My practice is dedicated to providing evidence based therapies for depression, anxiety, Complex PTSD, Adjustment disorders, Obsessive Compulsive disorders, and general life struggles. You are unique in the way you perceive and incorporate your experiences into your mental framework. Traumatic, uncomfortable, or even unexpected experience whether large or small, can leave an individual with unhealthy beliefs about themselves, others, and their place in the world. Recognizing that the impact of such experiences can manifest in a variety of mental health disorders, I am highly trained and certified in the most recent mental health technologies including Cognitive Behavioral therapy, cognitive Processing for PTSD, Interpersonal therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Prolonged Exposure, Exposure and Response Prevention therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. My goal is to understand each client's unique history and needs and collaboratively design a therapeutic treatment plan to achieve their mental health goals. I see each client as a whole person, greater than the mental health distress that they are currently experiencing.
I am happy to offer a no cost consultation either via secure telehealth or by phone. You have honored yourself by looking for help online. Take the next step and call.
