Treatment Approach
- Eclectic Therapy Draws from different therapeutic methods based on what fits each client best. It is flexible and personalized rather than following one single model.
- Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) Focuses on strengthening emotional bonds in couples or families. It helps people identify negative cycles and create more secure connections.
- Existential / Humanistic Therapy Encourages people to explore meaning, freedom, and authenticity in their lives. It focuses on personal growth and living in alignment with one’s values.
- Experiential Therapy Involves hands-on activities to bring emotions into the present moment. It helps clients process feelings more deeply than through conversation alone.
- Gestalt Therapy Encourages awareness of thoughts, feelings, and actions in the present moment. It helps people integrate different parts of themselves for wholeness.
- Hakomi Method A mindfulness-based approach that helps clients notice unconscious patterns in their body and mind. It emphasizes compassion and non-judgment.
- Internal Family Systems (IFS) Helps clients heal by working with different ‘parts’ of themselves, like inner critics or wounded children. It fosters harmony within the self.
- Jungian Therapy Draws on Carl Jung’s ideas about archetypes, dreams, and the collective unconscious. It helps people explore deeper layers of meaning.
- Ketamine-Assisted Therapy Combines low doses of ketamine with psychotherapy to treat depression, trauma, and anxiety. It can provide relief when other methods haven’t worked.
- Person-Centered Therapy (Rogerian) Emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. It provides a safe space for self-discovery and growth.
- Psychodynamic Therapy Explores unconscious thoughts and patterns that influence current behavior. It builds insight into how the past impacts the present.
- Relational Psychotherapy Emphasizes the healing power of the therapist-client relationship. It uses trust and safety as a foundation for change.
- Sandplay Therapy Uses sand trays and miniature figures to allow symbolic expression. It is especially helpful for children and trauma survivors.
- Somatic Therapy Helps clients notice how emotions are stored in the body. It uses breath, movement, and awareness for healing trauma and stress.
- Transpersonal Therapy Integrates spirituality and higher states of consciousness with psychology. It encourages growth beyond the individual self.
Approach Description: Thank you for choosing to show up for yourself. Healing takes courage. Our minds and bodies learn to function in certain ways that help us survive certain periods, and often, hold onto the same patterns that no longer serve us. Any changes we may desire to make are perceived as inherently dangerous as our system is wired for survival. As a psychotherapist, I have been described as warm, fiercely compassionate, and comfortable sitting in and exploring the depths. I draw upon the traditions of Jungian depth psychology, transpersonal psychology, relational therapy, and holistic modalities that encompass the whole being. In action, I am a process-oriented therapist that believes experiences are more powerful than lectures. Experiences start with the present moment. I partner with you to create a personalized plan for our time and work together. A few modalities I may invite include experientials in the present moment (i.e., sand tray, visualization, meditations), somatic work (enhancing the mind-body connection), parts work, and information on the nervous system, nutrition, gut health, and fascia to build a foundation of wellness. Reinforcing these different spokes of the wheel and practicing listening to the body and its wisdom can lead to insights that are longer-lasting and deeper than psychotherapy that solely focuses on the rational brain. I am not a quick fix therapist, as I have experienced true healing to take gentleness, safety, and integration. I believe that transformation occurs through attunement and acceptance of the present moment, rather than forceful attempts to be different. With youth (ages six and above), I invite experientials (i.e., sandtray, expressive arts therapy, play therapy, somatic work) and hold a compassionate and warm space to meet them right where they are at. I partner with their families and system to provide aligned support.
