Elnaz Mayeh (WellBeCounseling) (She/Her)

Marriage and Family Therapist, PhD, LMFT, EMDR Trained
 therapist: Elnaz Mayeh (WellBeCounseling),
Online in California (Online Only)
What makes my practice different is the genuine, human connection I bring into the therapy space, along with a direct and honest approach. I’m not here to “fix” you or simply tell you what you want to hear. I’m here to meet you where you are—with warmth, compassion, and without judgment, while also being willing to challenge you when it can help you grow. My approach is deeply humanistic, which means I see you as a whole person, not just a diagnosis or a set of problems. I create a space where you can be yourself, speak openly, and feel truly seen and understood. I keep therapy down-to-earth, authentic, and collaborative, while helping you build greater self-awareness and reconnect with your own strength, clarity, and resilience. I’ll listen deeply, ask the hard questions, and offer honest perspective when it’s needed. Because sometimes growth means having someone in your corner who can both support you and gently push you forward.

Treatment Approach

  • Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) Helps people accept difficult thoughts and feelings instead of fighting them, while committing to actions that reflect their values. It blends mindfulness with practical behavior strategies.
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) A structured therapy that uses guided eye movements to help process traumatic memories. It is widely recognized for treating PTSD and trauma-related conditions.
  • Motivational Interviewing (MI) A collaborative, client-centered approach that strengthens motivation for change. It is especially effective for addictions and health behaviors.
  • Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) Focuses on solutions and future goals rather than past problems. It is practical, short-term, and goal-driven.
Approach Description: I work with people who are ready to get honest about what’s really going on in their lives—whether you’re navigating relationship struggles, addiction, anxiety, life transitions, or sexual challenges. My approach is humanistic, personal, and direct. I’ll meet you where you are, without judgment or pretense, while also being willing to ask the hard questions and have the honest conversations that can lead to real change. Together, we’ll look beneath the surface, understand the patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and develop practical tools to help you move forward. My goal is to create a space where you can feel supported, challenged, and understood as you build greater clarity, confidence, and connection in your life.
