Hi! I’m Ema (pronounced like Emma) (she/they) - and I'm so glad you’re here.
Have you ever felt like you don’t quite belong in life? Do feelings of being overwhelmed, anxious, ungrounded, or unmotivated sometimes take over? These are all normal human emotions, and I am dedicated to understanding the “why” behind them. I believe those uncomfortable feelings and moments are here to communicate important messages to us.
Having an affinity for the unconventional, I value the unique strengths and differences that shape who we are. As a late-diagnosed neurodivergent human and someone who developed an invisible physical disability later in life, I understand the challenges of navigating a world not designed with differences in mind. My background as a maker and creator—rooted in multidisciplinary fine arts, teaching, and supporting non-profit communities—informs how I foster a safe, creative, and inspiring space for therapy. I aim to build a genuine, collaborative partnership where you feel understood, empowered, and curious to explore new ways of being. I approach this work with compassion and an integrative mindset, celebrating your individuality while supporting resilience in the face of life’s challenges. I have a heartfelt interest in working with late-diagnosed neurodivergent individuals, as well as those experiencing anxiety, panic, depression, and life transitions.
With a deep commitment to disability advocacy, accessibility, inclusion, and safety, these values guide the foundations of my practice. For transparency, I am accompanied by my mobility assistance service dog during in-person sessions, as part of my own accessibility needs.
I am currently under the supervision of Taylor Ryan (Baez), working towards my LPCC licensure. I would love to meet you for a 15-minute consultation!

Treatment Approach
- Art Therapy Uses creative activities like drawing, painting, or sculpture as a way to express emotions. It is especially helpful when words are hard to find.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Combines CBT with mindfulness to help regulate emotions, tolerate stress, and build stronger relationships. Originally designed for borderline personality disorder, it’s now used more broadly.
- Existential / Humanistic Therapy Encourages people to explore meaning, freedom, and authenticity in their lives. It focuses on personal growth and living in alignment with one’s values.
- Integrative Therapy Combines techniques from multiple approaches into a customized plan. It adapts to each client’s unique situation and needs.
