You may be the reliable one, the person others count on, even as your mind rarely slows down. Over time, carrying pressure without space to reset can leave you tense, reactive, or quietly exhausted. You don’t have to be in crisis to want things to feel steadier. Sometimes it’s simply time to stop holding everything alone.

Treatment Approach
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
- Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) Focuses on strengthening emotional bonds in couples or families. It helps people identify negative cycles and create more secure connections.
- Motivational Interviewing (MI) A collaborative, client-centered approach that strengthens motivation for change. It is especially effective for addictions and health behaviors.
- Narrative Therapy Encourages people to view problems as separate from themselves and reframe their life story. It helps build resilience and self-identity.
- Psychoeducational Therapy Provides education and coping tools about mental health conditions. It empowers clients with knowledge and practical skills.
- Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) Focuses on solutions and future goals rather than past problems. It is practical, short-term, and goal-driven.
Approach Description: My approach blends practical cognitive tools with deeper emotional awareness work. Using principles from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, we identify thinking patterns that keep your nervous system on high alert and practice more grounded responses to stress. We also explore the feelings and needs beneath those reactions, helping you respond with more clarity and self-trust. The goal isn’t to control every thought; it’s to reduce reactivity and respond to pressure with steadiness and intention. Sessions are steady, collaborative, and tailored to your pace, focused on building insight and real-life tools that restore calm, focus, and intention in how you move through daily pressure.

Therapy Sessions
- Available Online for residents of Colorado
- Online Therapy Details: I provide secure, private telehealth sessions for teens and adults located anywhere in Colorado. All sessions are held through SimplePractice’s encrypted video platform, which meets HIPAA requirements and does not require clients to download any software. Clients receive an automated link before each appointment and can join from a laptop, tablet, or phone. My virtual setup allows for reliable audio and video quality, screen sharing for worksheets or tools, and flexible scheduling for busy professionals, students, and those in rural or mountain areas. Online therapy is ideal for clients who want consistent support without travel time, and for those who feel more at ease engaging in therapy from their own environment.
Grounded Light Partners Counseling provides virtual therapy for high-functioning adults across Colorado whose nervous systems are worn down by sustained pressure. Many of the people I work with are reliable, capable, and used to handling a lot, yet underneath they feel tense, reactive, scattered, or increasingly depleted. Their minds rarely slow down, and rest doesn’t seem to fully reset things.
Therapy with me focuses on understanding the patterns driving that overload and helping your nervous system shift out of constant high alert. We combine emotional awareness, practical tools, and steady pacing to reduce reactivity, support focus, and create more clarity in daily life. The work isn’t about pushing harder or “fixing” yourself. It’s about restoring steadiness so you can move through work, relationships, and change with more control and less internal friction.
My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and grounded in real life. Online therapy offers a secure and consistent space to slow down, make sense of what’s happening, and build tools that actually fit the demands you’re navigating. The goal is not perfection — it’s steadiness, clarity, and feeling less alone while carrying what life asks of you.
