As a therapist, I’m warm, conversational, and direct. I’m not someone who will sit silently and nod for 50 minutes. I’ll laugh with you, challenge you when you need it, help you notice patterns you may not see yet, and create space for the parts of your story that are harder to talk about. I believe therapy should feel human.
Much of my work focuses on relational trauma and the ways our early relationships continue to shape us as adults. I especially enjoy working with people who are highly independent, perfectionistic, people-pleasing, or accustomed to taking care of everyone around them. Often, these patterns developed long before someone realized there was anything to question about how they grew up.
My approach is trauma-informed, attachment-focused, and grounded in understanding the whole person. We may explore family dynamics, relationships, culture, beliefs, your nervous system, and the roles you learned to play to feel safe or connected. At the same time, I want therapy to give you practical tools you can actually use outside of our sessions.
I don’t believe the goal is to blame your past or spend forever analyzing your childhood. The goal is to understand yourself well enough that your past no longer gets to make your decisions for you.
Outside of the therapy room, I’m a Colorado native who loves books, dogs, being outdoors, and finding humor in the messiness of being human. I value authenticity, curiosity, and creating a space where you don’t have to perform or have everything figured out.
You can come to therapy as the person who usually has it together.
You just don’t have to hold it all together here.
