Treatment Approach
- Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) Helps people accept difficult thoughts and feelings instead of fighting them, while committing to actions that reflect their values. It blends mindfulness with practical behavior strategies.
- Christian Counseling Blends psychological practices with Christian values and scripture. It provides faith-based support for life challenges and spiritual growth.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Combines CBT with mindfulness to help regulate emotions, tolerate stress, and build stronger relationships. Originally designed for borderline personality disorder, it’s now used more broadly.
- Gottman Method Couples Therapy Based on decades of research, this method gives couples tools to improve communication, manage conflict, and strengthen intimacy.
Approach Description: When you work with me, you will feel like you are in treatment, not just talking to your best friend. You will feel heard and understood, but also held accountable to making the changes that you want to see in your life. My approach is solutions focused, data driven and evidenced-based so that you can track your progress and make adjustments as needed, rather than just hoping things are working.
When you work with me, you know that what we are doing in sessions has actually been proven to be effective with the highest standards of research.
My sessions are structured:
Before The Session: You fill out a brief mood survey right before the session that will take about 1 minute to complete.
During The Session: We review the brief mood survey right at the start of the session. We then review homework to assess the helpfulness of the skill you were practicing. Then we get to the heart of the session, where we dive deep and break down self-defeating beliefs, break habits, challenge thinking, and learn new skills. We wrap up the session with a collaborative homework assignment that is aligned with the work that we did in that session, so the learning does not stop once the session ends.
After The Session: You will then fill out the mood survey again so we can see if the work we did actually shifted anything, and you will review my effectiveness as a therapist in that session, so I have the chance to shift and grow along with you to be a better therapist for you.

I am a mother of 2 little ones and a partner. I am passionate about postpartum work and sleep because I was you. I thought I was prepared, really overly prepared for motherhood, and then was completely shocked once my baby arrived. I was not prepared for the rollercoaster of emotions, mood swings, hypervigilance, and a baby that would just not sleep unless I was holding them.
I was the mom in postpartum, who, despite knowing where support was and how to get connected, did not because of the thought, “I should be able to do this on my own.” With that thought, it prevented me from getting the care I needed and prolonged my suffering.
I get where you are now and where you want to be, and I want to hold that non-judgmental place for you that I was so hesitant to access. I want to make your time worth it, and help you actually see the changes you want to see in your day-to-day.
