Whether you're dealing with big stress, big feelings, or big competitions, I can help. Most teen and adult clients come to see me for anxiety, sport psychology, and eating disorders. Our work will help you feel more confident in yourself, more poised under pressure, and more capable. You will feel free from rules and perfectionism. You won't let your weight define you. You will know your worth isn't dependent on your achievements. You will finally eliminate that voice in your head telling you that you aren't enough.
I understand the pressure felt by high achievers and perfectionists because I've been there. I know what it's like to have mental blocks in sport, to run a business, to feel so anxious that you feel paralyzed - but I also know the way out. I blend my expertise as a former Division I athlete and a doctoral-level psychologist to bring you an elite level of training, expertise, and lived experience. I help clients feel heard and understood in meetings, and use strategies that actually get clients results in their life outside of meetings. Clients can feel empowered knowing they are using their values to achieve maximum performance and well-being. You can learn more about me, my work, and how it will help you live a more fulfilling life at www.bloompsychologync.com.

Treatment Approach
- Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) Helps people accept difficult thoughts and feelings instead of fighting them, while committing to actions that reflect their values. It blends mindfulness with practical behavior strategies.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Combines CBT with mindfulness to help regulate emotions, tolerate stress, and build stronger relationships. Originally designed for borderline personality disorder, it’s now used more broadly.
- Feminist Therapy Addresses how gender roles, power, and social inequality affect mental health. It empowers clients to challenge limiting beliefs and systems.
- Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) Combines mindfulness practices with CBT to prevent depression relapse. It helps people notice thoughts without judgment and respond more calmly.
Approach Description: My approach is collaborative, skills-based, and grounded in what actually works. I use process-based cognitive-behavioral therapies (CBT) as the foundation of my work — these are gold-standard, evidence-based approaches for anxiety, eating disorders, sport psychology, and more. I also integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients build mindfulness, psychological flexibility, and consistently show up in a way that is aligned with their values. When helpful, I weave in skills from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which helps with emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and communication skills. All of these strategies are aimed at making an actual difference in your life outside of meetings.
