Treatment Approach
- Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) Helps people accept difficult thoughts and feelings instead of fighting them, while committing to actions that reflect their values. It blends mindfulness with practical behavior strategies.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Combines CBT with mindfulness to help regulate emotions, tolerate stress, and build stronger relationships. Originally designed for borderline personality disorder, it’s now used more broadly.
- Family Systems Therapy Looks at problems within the context of the family as a whole. It aims to improve communication and balance in family relationships.
- Motivational Interviewing (MI) A collaborative, client-centered approach that strengthens motivation for change. It is especially effective for addictions and health behaviors.
- Relational Psychotherapy Emphasizes the healing power of the therapist-client relationship. It uses trust and safety as a foundation for change.
Approach Description: We use a warm, collaborative, and evidence-based approach to therapy. Our work is guided by the belief that you are the expert on your own life — our role is to walk alongside you, offer new perspectives, and help you access the clarity and strength already within you. We draw from CBT, mindfulness-based practices, and relational models, always tailoring our approach to fit your unique needs and goals. Sessions are a space to slow down, think out loud, and reconnect with what matters most to you.

We started The Becoming Therapy Collective with a simple belief: women deserve mental health care that actually meets them where they are. That means care that understands the compounding weight of motherhood: the sleeplessness, the identity shifts, the invisible labor, the love that can coexist with resentment and grief and joy all at once.
Our group practice supports women at every stage of the motherhood journey, from those who are trying to conceive or navigating pregnancy to mothers deep in the trenches or finding themselves again on the other side. We also support women navigating womanhood more broadly — the anxiety, the people-pleasing, the endless sense that you're not doing enough.
Our therapists bring both clinical depth and genuine warmth to every session. We draw from evidence-based approaches while keeping the whole person at the center — your mind, your body, your values, and your story.
Our hope is that the work you do with us ripples outward into your relationships, your parenting, your sense of self. Motherhood is not where you disappear. It's where you get to become.
