Life can be hard, and it’s not hard because you’re bad at doing "life". Life is hard, because LIFE IS HARD. We can experience loss, we may struggle with conflict, people may disappoint us, and we may disappoint ourselves. But we do not quit just because things get hard. We tend to quit when we are discouraged.
When life gets hard and discouragement sets in, we can start to feel and behave in ways that make us unrecognizable to ourselves and others. It is then when taking a step outside ourselves can allow us to gain a new and fresh perspective. As a therapist, my goal is for you to truly feel seen, heard and supported. At my foundation, I am a Cognitive Behavioral therapist, focusing on what is working in your life and challenging those thoughts and behaviors that no longer serve their intended purpose. I also believe that life is all about relationships. Whether it's the relationship you have with yourself, with others or the world around you, the therapeutic relationship can be an environment to learn, relearn and practice healthy relationship behaviors. When you are ready, I would be humbled and honored to begin a relationship with you. While life is not without struggle, we will focus on the burden, how we carry it and who walks along side us on our journey.
