Are you and your partner feeling stuck in the same painful patterns—arguing about the same things, feeling unheard, or growing further apart? Does it feel like no matter how hard you try, you can’t seem to reconnect? If so, you’re not alone—and there is a path forward. I specialize in helping couples break out of negative cycles and rebuild trust, connection, and emotional safety. Even if things feel hopeless now, your relationship can become a source of strength, calm, and closeness.
The couples I work with are navigating challenges like recurring conflict, poor communication, emotional distance, and unresolved resentment. I use evidence-based approaches—including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and The Gottman Method—to help couples move from disconnection to deeper understanding, so that both partners feel seen, heard, and valued.
While I specialize in couples therapy, I also work with individuals navigating relationship challenges, attachment wounds, or doing personal growth work. Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, but healing—whether within your relationship or on your own—can be truly life-changing.

- Gottman Method Couples Therapy Based on decades of research, this method gives couples tools to improve communication, manage conflict, and strengthen intimacy.

Hi, I’m Troy—a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and the founder of Ibis Counseling. I’ve had the privilege of working with many couples, families, and individuals, and my passion lies in helping people build stronger, healthier relationships. When our closest connections feel strained, it can affect nearly every part of life—contributing to anxiety, loneliness, parenting struggles, work stress, and even unhealthy coping. At the same time, those challenges can also create distance or tension between partners.
While I specialize in couples therapy, I also work with individuals and families. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients shift unhelpful thoughts and behaviors, and use systems theory to better understand the roles and patterns within family dynamics.
Whether you’re feeling stuck, disconnected, or simply looking for support, therapy can be a meaningful step forward. I’d be honored to work with you—whenever you’re ready.
