I have worked in the field of psychology for 26 years now in various capacities, including group homes for children and community mental health centers; I've acted as the Director of Mental Health at a large urban preschool for many years, and also with people of all ages in private practice. My work in the last 5 years has focused more on trauma/EMDR and nervous system regulation (Polyvagal Theory with Stephen Porges) for adolescents and adults as well as parenting support with a speciality in parenting neurodivergent chilren. I have also spent time supervising both psychology trainees and marriage and family interns. I truly love what I do and am always adding to my professional skills over time.

Chula Vista is one of California's fastest-growing cities and sits directly north of the US-Mexico border, with a predominantly Hispanic population and a large community of residents who maintain close ties to Tijuana — making bilingual Spanish-English therapy not a specialty but a basic access requirement for much of the population. The city's location within the broader San Diego metro means residents have access to the full range of institutional mental health resources, including Scripps Health and Sharp HealthCare, while Chula Vista's own private therapy community has expanded significantly alongside its population growth.
