Sexuality, Pleasure & Intimacy: If you’re struggling with low desire, difficulty receiving pleasure, intimacy challenges, sexual shame, relationship patterns that keep repeating, body disconnection, or the lingering effects of past experiences, these issues can leave you feeling frustrated, disconnected, and unfulfilled. As a sex therapist, sexologist, and tantra practitioner, I help individuals and couples understand the root causes of these challenges and create meaningful, lasting change. Drawing from psychology, sexual wellness education, and embodied practices, I offer a supportive and nonjudgmental space where you can explore your concerns and reconnect with yourself. Together, we cultivate greater self-awareness, confidence, pleasure, intimacy, and authentic expression so that you can experience deeper connection in your relationships and a more vibrant relationship with your own body, sexuality, and desires.

Phillip McCulley

Marriage and Family Therapist, MA, LMFT, CSAT
I provide sex therapy for individuals and couples who want to improve intimacy, desire, communication, and overall sexual satisfaction. I have training in sex therapy, including education informed by Barry McCarthy’s work, which emphasizes healthy, pleasure focused sexuality rather than performance or pressure. My approach centers on helping people develop a more confident, connected, and realistic relationship with sex. In therapy, we work to understand how stress, anxiety, shame, past experiences, medical concerns, or relationship dynamics may be affecting your sex life. This may include support with sexual dysfunction, desire differences, intimacy concerns, or difficulties communicating about sex. I help clients move away from goal driven or fear based sexual patterns and toward experiences that feel more relaxed, mutual, and fulfilling. I also offer affirming sex therapy for LGBTQ individuals and couples, as well as those in non traditional or non monogamous relationships. Therapy provides a space to explore sexuality openly and respectfully, without judgment or assumptions, so that your sexual expression aligns with your values, comfort, and sense of connection.

Dr. Ingrid Solano

Psychologist, PhD
Sex therapy is a form of counseling intended to help individuals and couples resolve sexual difficulties, such as performance anxiety or relationship problems. I support couples in restoring trust, rebuilding intimacy, and reigniting healthy, passionate sex. Some choose to attend sessions alone; others bring their partner with them. Session frequency and length usually depend on the client and the type of problem being addressed. Sexual health is an essential part of overall emotional and physical well-being. But if you’re experiencing a sexual problem, the last thing you probably want to do is talk about it. However, you aren't alone! 43 percent of women and 31 percent of men report some degree of sexual dysfunction. Sex therapy is a type of psychotherapy that also takes into account possible physical problems. For this reason (among others), sex therapy requires special training. When a couple comes in with a sexual problem, we try to figure out how each of them could be contributing to the issue. We examine what is going on, gradually interpret this in the context of their sexual history/experiences, tease apart cultural/societal influences, and come up with solutions Sex therapy utilizes a variety of approaches to treat sexual dysfunction. In addition to the techniques outlined by Masters and Johnson, sex therapy includes cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), emotion-based therapy, and couples communication techniques. It’s important to know that sex therapy sessions do not involve any physical contact or sexual activity. I usually assign “homework”—practical activities that clients are expected to complete in the privacy of their own home.

Intimacy is more than physical—it’s about emotional connection, trust, and feeling safe with one another. When couples struggle with mismatched desire, avoidance, or sexual dysfunction, it can feel deeply isolating. In therapy, I help partners talk openly about intimacy without shame, understand each other’s needs, and create a fulfilling sexual connection that strengthens your bond.
