Sometimes we need more than a gentle space to process. Sometimes we need active life coaching. We explore your values, wants and needs, highlight goals, and brainstorm concrete approaches to achieve those goals, with pressure placed in appropriate amounts.
I am an achiever myself through very challenging circumstances and unlikely odds for success. We all possess the potential to go beyond our current circumstances and I can guide this blossoming of personal, professional, and relationship growth with concrete results.
We come alongside people and help them develop the relational intelligence to embrace life and their relationships constructively so that they experience satisfaction and fulfillment. Life Coaching is goal oriented, and present and future focused.
Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
At times the support my clients need doesn't require deep emotional or psychological work. They may want to learn how to do something differently and/or want someone to make them accountable. Whatever your desired goal may be, I will guide and support you reaching it.
I enjoy helping clients accept and like themselves, organize around strengths, achieve greater emotional presence, think clearly, and let go of shame, guilt and old habits of emotional survival. I believe therapy should lead to better decisions, as well as improved quality of life and relationships.
I have worked with people therapeutically 35+ years.
I have been married for over 40 years, and raised 2 kids.
I have worked a regular job to make a living and provide for my family.
I am rock solid in physical reality, and also a romantic visionary and can translate between the two worlds.

Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor #6947 (CA), TLHT #494 (FL)
I am a trained counselor/coach with extensive experience assisting folks with life transitions, whether relating to work, relationships, school or gender identity. Because of this experience, I may be more directive and interactive than many therapists; employing a coaching style that some people find more useful than basic talk therapy. We may discuss incorporating healthier life choices, life-planning, values or developing long-term goals. I also use interventions like exercises and homework, both CBT-based and creative. My active listening style may also include opportunities for clients to be accountable for their actions, encouraging them to work actively on their behaviors and follow through.
