Clinton, Connecticut therapist: Dr. Sandra Clifton, life coach
Stress

Dr. Sandra Clifton

Life Coach, EdD, PCC, BCET
Managing stress has never been more important--and often it involves stepping away from devices and tapping back into the foundation of health through daily practices of observing nature, meditation, exercise, sleep, nutrition and social connection. However, incorporating those aspects of our lives with consistency sometimes requires support for better executive functioning, focusing on priorities, and a clear framework of defining our most important values...and then living them.

Stress

Ulrike Nau-Debor

Psychologist, CPsychol, AFBPsS, HCPC registered
It is so easy to feel stressed in this world: we are constantly busy and focused on something because we are so attuned to external cues about whether or not we are safe. In my view, we develop stress due to our limiting belief systems. For example, we might assume that being busy equates to being successful, leading us to overwork to feel secure. We might believe we should be superwomen or supermen and, therefore, never ask for help, continually adding more to our lives. We may not believe we are good enough and, in striving for perfection, create significant stress for ourselves. These are just a few examples. Another reason we can become burnt out is if we lack compassion for ourselves and, as a result, don't take proper care of our well-being. If you choose to work with me, we will explore the beliefs that create stress for you and help you overcome them. Together, we will learn new ways of being that invite ease and joy back into your life.
