Couples need therapy too! That's right. I will help each partner find balance own balance within themselves, to help them to see clearly, and iron out personal troubles. Then the couple will begin therapies together and both will be much better at understanding and mending what seemed to once be broken.
Relationships can be very tricky and one of the most beneficial things that a couple can do is seeking out someone that they can trust to talk to and process through their ups and downs in their relationship. Sometimes damage has been done and hurts have been caused from both sides which often go unaddressed or are communicated in an unhealthy toxic ways, which is why I would be glad to help untangle some of the mess that has been caused and to help the past stay in the past and to focus on solutions going forward.

Of the various marriage and couple therapies and models I have studied, I gravitate to the behavioral and emotion-centered approaches namely: Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (EFT). In terms of the behavioral approaches, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and its “spin-offs” provide a wealth of applicability and contextual viability. In addition, I am attracted to this approach as a practitioner due to its high level of empirical validation.
After the honeymoon phase wears off, most couples don't realize their arguements follow a specific pattern and, if they do, don't know how to get out of the dance to come to a happier and more peaceful connected resolution. Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (by Sue Johnson) has been well researched and has a 75-95% success rate. Gottman education and interventions is more left-brained but also highly successful.
