Cindy Yu is a bilingual (English and Mandarin Chinese) Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the states of both Florida and Alabama. She is well-trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, solution-focused therapy, Bowen’s theory, Gottman Method, CBT, and more. Cindy believes that each client is comprised of unique yet charismatic components such as personal upbringings, religious beliefs, and cultural backgrounds, that all contribute to narrate a cohesive personal story. This fundamental ideology has cultivated her into offering her clients unconditional positive regard and respect, while tailoring her treatment orientations to better serve each client’s individuality. Cindy also has a background in the medical field where she has obtained a strong foundational knowledge for medical diagnosis and medications. I have enjoyed a long career as a psychotherapist and truly enjoy my work. I am familiar with a variety of treatment strategies like CBT and DBT and have been successful in helping clients learn to use these techniques for managing negative feelings. I have learned to make good connections and establish trusting relationships with people who need support and assistance.
