How I view forgiveness is understanding what happened on a deep level and letting go of the pain and emotions within . For me it’s not about turning the other cheek but if you let go of the pain and anger within you then you can free yourself. This does not mean that you ever have to have contact with who hurt you . They do not have the right to dictate how you feel or the choices you make .
