My private practice work with court-ordered clients (2005 - 2021), was focused on domestic violence and anger management. This was also the focus in my graduate internship and contract work with other agencies. My current work for the Department of the Navy continues to focus on treating domestic violence issues and healing from abuses. I've never met a client that grew up in a happy, healthy home. Too often, the patterns witnessed in childhood, coupled with the traumas of childhood, cause us to repeat the "programming" received. Change can happen if a client is willing to look at the truth, the past, the present, and re-envision their future through positive growth and change.
