In this therapy, we will revisit traumatic situations, process painful emotions, and change unhelpful beliefs about yourself and the world around you as a result of your trauma. We'd talk about how the abuse affects them emotionally and how it messes with their confidence. I'd also help them figure out ways to stay safe and get support, like finding shelters or legal help if needed. The goal of therapy would be to help them see their own strengths, feel better about themselves, and get out of the abusive situation for good.
