I have extensive training and experience with behavior modification therapy. I start with learning what purpose or function the behaviors serve. Next, we explore if there is a healthier alternative, discover the root cause of the behavior, and/or focus on habit reduction and eventually elimination.

Many people suffer silently through BFRBs. We are here to help you learn how to reduce your hair pulling, skin picking, etc. while navigating the emotional impact of BFRBs. We assist you in learning how to have more awareness of your behaviors, learn how to manage your urges differently, and ultimately reduce the BFRBs and their impact on your life. We offer both individual and class formats for BFRB treatment.

Dr. Vivyan is trained in the diagnosis and treatment of Trichotillomania (hair pulling) and Excoriation Disorder (skin picking). She uses Comprehensive Behavioral (ComB) Treatment to give you the awareness to control these behaviors with confidence.

With tics and body focused behaviors, I take a warm approach using exposure and response prevention. I have special training in this area.
