My name is Karla Lawrence, and I’m so happy you’re here. I provide distance (online) counseling and coaching services to adult individuals in Maryland. I specialize in self-care, anxiety, depression, codependency, stress and burnout recovery counseling for compassionate women & soulful introverts. I am a trauma-trained somatic coach, working with trauma, ADHD, imposter syndrome, emotional triggers, ADHD and other challenges. I am neurodivergent myself and work especially well with neurodivergent clients. I am a rising Advanced student of Somatic Experiencing, a trauma healing approach that blends mind and body. I am also a trained teacher of Mindful Self-Compassion. Coaching can be a powerful tool for helping to resolve inner issues that get in the way of our fully being.

I tend to work particularly well with clients who struggle with being compassionate towards themselves and have spent much of their life focused on what others expect of them, getting further away from their own inner voice. My aim is to help clients discover and embrace their authentic selves so they can pursue what they truly value in life. My therapy style is strengths-based, collaborative, and flexible, integrating multiple approaches to therapy.
