At Washington Psychological Wellness, we have specialists for every age and stage across the lifespan. Our clinicians understand the unique environmental, psychological, cultural, and emotional challenges faced by geriatric and elderly populations. Our clinicians provide a non-judgmental collaborative environment in which one can take risks and explore different ways of thinking, feeling, and being. We aim to help one gain clarity about the underlying causes of their current distress, provide strategies to help them cope, and empower them to trust their inner voice and live each day authentically. Our therapists will tailor treatment to the unique age-related needs of each individual. Treatment will include an integrative approach consisting of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness meditation, existential/end-of-life counseling, solution-focused therapy, person-centered therapy, and other holistic and empirically validated therapeutic modalities.
