Whether it's excessive worry, catastrophizing, avoidance, or irrational fears, I'm adept at targeting anxious responses and can help you learn to reduce and tolerate anxiety.
Anxiety is one of the most common issues I see in my clients. It can be uncomfortable at best and debilitating at worst, and it robs us of our present experience as our minds are so focused on possible future events. I often use cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) to treat anxiety, as it is proven to be highly effective. CBT helps people identify and challenge distorted thinking patterns and gradually exposes them to anxiety-provoking situations in a controlled manner. Other therapies, such as exposure therapy, also offer valuable tools for managing anxiety and overcoming fears.
Anxiety can be managed and overcome, and working together you can learn to control your worries and take back the present moment.
Utilizing CBT with humor I help you identify and develop a plan to better manage fear and anxiety that interfere in your life. We all experience anxiety and the secret is not to get rid of it but to make it work for us in a positive way.
Do you feel stuck, stressed or unfulfilled in your life? Does constant worry, too many tasks to juggle or troubled relationships leave you wondering how you will be able to make it through the next day? Whatever change it is that you are facing, it is natural to feel an element of uncertainty and anxiety over your new situation. The good news is that you don’t have to navigate this challenging time on your own. Anxiety treatment can help you find relief and achieve the personal growth and development you need to feel confident, happy, and healthy again.
I help clients manage anxiety and fears by identifying and understanding their specific triggers and negative thought patterns. I teach techniques to challenge and change these thoughts, promoting more balanced and realistic thinking. I also guide clients in learning relaxation methods and gradually facing their fears to build confidence. This personalized approach helps clients gain control over their anxiety and fear, leading to improved overall well-being and resilience.
