I will listen to you and your partner describe what each of you see as an issue, then hear your examples and teach each of you how you can approach the situation differently to give you a better outcome. Couples come in thinking they are going to tell me everything that is wrong with their partner and to fix them. I help individuals realize how their own actions can change the outcome. Once everyone focuses on doing their own work, then they see the desired outcome in the relationship. It sounds uncomfortable, but it's really a lot of fun and we laugh a lot.
