Peter D. Ruffini, Sex & Porn Addiction Expert

Licensed Professional Counselor, EdS, MA, LPC, LPCMH, ACS, EMDRPT-II, CSAT-C
As an award-winning psychotherapist, I specialize in high-impact individual therapy for capable men. With over 15 years of experience and advanced trauma training, I’m known for my work in pornography addiction, sex addiction, and men’s mental health. My practice is frequently sought out by other therapists who refer men facing issues requiring specialized treatment—such as sex and porn addiction, trauma, anger, infidelity, and anxiety. I have also been featured in media speaking about these topics. As a clinical supervisor, I train other therapists in gold-standard, evidence-based treatments. I provide expert, structured, results-oriented therapy for men who want real change—not generic talk therapy or surface-level coping. Clients reach out when they want depth, direction, and results so if you’re here, you’ve already taken the first step toward real change. Nashville, Tennessee therapist: Dr. Joe Rustum, psychologist
Serving Jewish

Dr. Joe Rustum

Psychologist, PsyD, License Psychologist
I work with high achievers, professionals, executives, and driven individuals who look capable on the outside but feel overwhelmed, self-critical, or stuck in constant overthinking. You may be managing career pressure, anxiety, burnout, perfectionism, procrastination, relationship stress, or difficulty setting boundaries. Even when things look successful from the outside, it can feel exhausting to keep pushing while privately second-guessing yourself. My approach is practical, direct, and focused on helping you make meaningful changes in your day-to-day life. We will work on understanding the patterns that keep you stuck, building confidence in your decisions, improving boundaries, managing stress more effectively, and creating a healthier relationship with work, achievement, and responsibility. The goal is not just insight, but real progress.

Clifton, New Jersey therapist: Dr. Mike Abrams, psychologist
Serving Jewish

Dr. Mike Abrams

Psychologist, PhD, MBA, ABPP
I limit my practice to a few clients with whom I can offer meaningful help. I do not think it is ethical for a psychologist to agree to work with someone who has a problem outside of their expertise or someone who has barriers that the psychologist suspects they cannot overcome. When I conclude that I can help someone, I collaborate with them while applying the most appropriate methods for their problems. I choose these methods from among the many I have studied or developed. This is sometimes called a Transdiagnostic Integrative technique. Here, a clinical label or diagnosis is less important than the unique collection of symptoms a person is living with. I also make sure that I come to understand the client's point of view, how their adversities, their personal philosophy, and their level of suffering combine to lead to their anxiety, depressed mood, or even anger. When the client agrees, I prefer to use psychological testing to be sure my assessment of the client's situation is supported by the best available science. When I conduct psychotherapy, I know it can only be effective when I view the client as presenting many intricate problems that must be fully understood, so each client's issues are approached as scientific hypotheses that guide therapy, which guide my specific interventions, but is always open to revision as new life history information or psychological data becomes available. Since I have trained numerous therapists and continue researching and publishing in the field, my clients are assured they receiving the most effective evidence-based interventions. If you do see me, you can be confident that you will be unconditionally accepted in a safe and comfortable therapeutic relationship with every effort being made to help you.
