Brooklyn, New York therapist: Marina Rozenberg, MD, therapist
Psychoanalytic Therapy

Marina Rozenberg, MD

Therapist, MD
I specialize in working with people who suffer with anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. In addition, my background as an internal medicine physician allows me to understand the unique struggles of those in the medical field, as well as those living with chronic illnesses. Using a depth therapy approach, I strive to create a safe space where you can talk about your difficulties, worries and disappointments, and where long-buried feelings and memories from the past that created pain, confusion and anxiety can be supported in the present, thereby easing some of their hold on how you experience life. Our goal will be to help you grow in self-awareness, have greater capacity for intimate relationships, as well as have improvement in the symptoms that have brought you to therapy.

If it feels as if you are repeatedly being inundated with new stressors before you have been able to resolve stressors that were already existing.   Therapy can be helpful in making sense of it all. It can be a place to talk through stressors as well as to identify patterns and interactions with loved ones that may stem from core relationships.  Do you want to uncover attributes for personal tendencies that you find stressful and confusing.

Our relationships—with partners, family, friends, and ourselves—shape so much of how we move through the world. I work with adults, adolescents, and couples navigating relationship challenges, anxiety, trauma, identity concerns, parenting, self-esteem, and life transitions. My approach is warm, relational, and insight-oriented, helping clients better understand longstanding patterns, deepen self-awareness, and create meaningful, lasting change. I have particular expertise in perinatal mental health, cultural identity and immigration, attachment, and ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP).

Licensed Psychoanalyst, Licensed Psychoanalyst, New York State
Often times, people find that they experience unhappiness, anxiety, or repeated obstacles to getting what they want. This can lead to problems with relationships, work, or other areas of our lives. Through a cooperative, supportive relationship with a therapist you trust and feel comfortable with, you can learn how to cope with what the "universe" throws your way, and choose behaviors and habits that can help you get more of what you want from life. By talking with someone you trust and feel comfortable with, I believe anyone can learn to know themselves better and to live more consciously and deliberately.

I believe therapy works best when it feels like a genuine, collaborative relationship—one where you can speak freely and be met with curiosity rather than judgment. My approach is thoughtful and attuned, helping you make sense of patterns, emotions, and experiences at your own pace. Together, we’ll explore what’s getting in the way and work toward a deeper understanding that can open up new possibilities for how you relate to yourself and others.

Who wants to feel better? You, or else you wouldn't be looking at psychotherapists websites. But wait, there's more...maybe you're not sure you can feel better. Maybe you've never been to a psychotherapist before & this is all new to you or was something that "other people" did.

Dr. Stéphanie Gamache, PhD

Hypnotherapist, PhD
Something in you knows that what you're carrying runs deeper than the presenting problem. Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, capable, and outwardly composed-yet internally they live with anxiety, depression, chronic tension or pain, relentless self-criticism, or a sense that something essential is blocked, muted, or just out of reach. These struggles may surface in mood, in the body, in behavior, or in relationships-including sexuality and intimacy-but they are rarely contained to any one area. They tend to reflect deeper emotional and relational patterns formed early in life, often before language, that continue to shape how a person approaches closeness, vulnerability, agency, pleasure, and self-expression. My work centers on how early experience shapes the capacity for self-regulation, desire, connection, and meaning throughout life-and particularly on how people come to know what they need and want, how they learn to express or inhibit those impulses, and what happens when these capacities become conflicted, constricted, or difficult to sustain. I integrate psychoanalytic hypnotherapy, somatic awareness, and clinical sexology within a reflective, depth-oriented process. Hypnosis functions as a central clinical tool-creating conditions for deeper internal contact with emotional, bodily, and unconscious experience that can be difficult to reach through conversation alone. The aim is not only relief from symptoms, but the development of a more coherent and compassionate relationship with one's inner life: sensations, emotions, impulses, and desires. This work is oriented toward lasting psychological change-and toward greater freedom in how one relates to oneself, one's body, and one's capacity for connection, authenticity, and vitality. It is best suited to those ready to move beyond symptom management toward something more fundamental.
