Having a healthy sprit man is just as important as being healthy mentally and physically. Sometimes people find themselves being stagnant spiritually. Stagnancy can cause frustration, confusion and a feeling of a sense of bondage. Freedom can come through realizing God’s plan for your life.

I am a Christian, but have not always been. I was raised Baptist and taught the faith of my parents. As I asked questions for myself I drifted away from that faith and became an Agnostic, unsure of what I believed. Eventually, in college, I became an Atheist. Atheism became my religion and I began to try and tear down the faith of others when the opportunity arose. Science became my god. However, I found no absolute truths there either and was left feeling lost and empty. I began a journey to find my own faith and came back to Christianity. I discovered that it is alright to have doubts and that faith is believing without seeing. On this journey God has continued to move in my life and my faith continues to be strengthened. So, no matter where you are on your journey, I'd love to meet you there and help you explore your spirituality.

People often minimize the impact of religious trauma. It's like having a million apps running in the background, which slows your computer speed and its ability to complete tasks. You do not have to live life in the slow and glitchy lane. You can rediscover who you are. Therapy can help you re-evaluate your values and your wants in life instead of being told what they are. You can re-learn so you can have healthy relationships with others. Find a new belief system to replace the one that no longer fits you. It can feel scary to trust a therapist give that you have been hurt before. However, therapy is a good first step in learning not only how to trust others but also how to trust yourself.
