Dallas, Texas therapist: Sarah Epstein, marriage and family therapist
Narrative

Sarah Epstein

Marriage and Family Therapist, LMFT
Sarah is now accepting new virtual and in-person clients for February 2023! My clients are caregivers who feel anxious, depressed, and utterly burned-out from giving so much of themselves. They often identify as the peacemakers in their families and friend groups. Many lived through childhoods where they were the "mature" child and were expected to be low maintenance. Many of my clients struggle chronically with family relationships. Many struggle to identify and go after what they want professionally and personally. They may struggle to separate their wisehs from what is expected of them or will make them look impressive. My clients also come in as families wanting to work through long-standing conflict and issues that keep them interacting in predictable, patterned ways. Finally, I treat trauma and emotional distress using EMDR therapy.

If you are looking for guidance with anxiety, fears, depression, or stress, it takes courage to ask for help. Admitting you can’t do everything on your own, is the first step toward achieving wellness in a fast paced, demanding world. The good news is, asking for help gets easier with a little practice. The way in which we cope in the world is greatly influenced by how we see the world. Asking for help, and obtaining a fresh perspective is often the first and most profound step toward developing the mental muscle needed to become stronger. The more support you gain, the better equipped you will be to take on bigger challenges and achieve more successes.

Minneapolis, Minnesota therapist: Allen Wood, psychologist
Narrative

Allen Wood

Psychologist, Psy.D.
I'm a psychologist with expertise in working with anxiety, depression, dissociation, and the full range of traumatic experiences and specialize in supporting clients who feel that therapy isn't for them. In working with me you can expect a high level of collaboration, dedication to your success, and lots of nerdy metaphors. I draw from interpersonal neurobiology, developmental psychology, and attachment theory to make evidence-based therapy models less generic and more useful for your specific situation.
