I help people to navigate their way to post-traumatic growth after sexual abuse. I can hold space for you to feel heard, help you to manage the rollercoaster of ups and downs and heal through trauma-informed EMDR therapy. I'm not saying it will be easy and you will be gently challenged along the way but you will be supported to make the changes you need to feel safe and empowered. I am able to deal with sexual abuse sufferers on any level and that includes rape victims either recent or in the past - One woman was 72 and had been raled at 17 and still had the trauma until i dealt with it in one session to gain release. She was amazed that is had been carried all those years and damaged so much of her life when she could have dealt with it in Trauma therapy in the past 20 years and needed not suffer in silence any more.

If you have experienced sexual abuse, it is important to know that you are not broken, wrong, tainted, unworthy. Sexual abuse, especially early in life or within families can have far reaching consequences in how we develop, see ourselves and show up in the world. Therapy can help you understand how your experiences have shaped you, and how you can respond with new understandings, a new perception of yourself and new ways of being.
In working with sexual abuse, I use a tri-phasic trauma treatment model. The first phase (20 sessions) is purely around emotional stabilisation, safety, and development of internal and external resources. It is only after that where we might start to do any active work addressing the sexual abuse, and this is done in a very specific way so that the trauma in not relived without being processed and integrated.

Sexual Abuse is widespread and deeply disturbing in complex and painful ways. Therapy is the space to make sense of the complex, paradoxical and painful angry feeling around it.
