I specialize in helping adults with previously diagnosed ADHD to better manage the impact of ADHD on all aspects of their lives. (ADHD Evaluations are outside the scope of my practice, and I do not make new ADHD diagnosis online.) Unfortunately ADHD does not go away when you turn 18, but it can manifest differently as an adult. Impulsivity in words, actions and emotional reactions, disorganization at home and work, poor self-esteem and negative thinking, and lack of attention during conversations and meetings are just a few of the common impacts adults with ADHD may experience that frequently contribute to job difficulties and relationship conflict. I work with clients using Accelerated Resolution Therapy to help diminish the symptoms of anxiety and depression that often co-occur with ADHD. Then, with Cognitive Behavior Therapy strategies and tools, clients learn how to change their thinking and behaviors to better achieve their goals.
Are you having trouble controlling your impulses? Getting in trouble at home, school, or work due to behavioral issues? Struggling to manage your time? I am an ADHD-CCSP therapist with experience working with youth in the juvenile justice system who have struggled with their symptoms. ADHD doesn't have to be a negative part of your life. Together we can fight against the stigma and uncover your ADHD superpowers so you can find ways to navigate this diagnosis and excel.
