Forgiveness of the self and others is integral to transcending all suffering and egoic positions. All suffering comes from a lack of forgiveness and love primarily towards ourselves. True forgiveness can only come from the "heart" and not from an intellectual point of view (i.e. mind). With humility, we can recognize the fragility, naivety and innate innocence of ourselves, which leads to a surrender of all judgment, thus accentuating forgiveness.
