Grief is a feeling of loss and shows up in many ways. I help you understand your grief. We work together with coping skills and tools that benefit you and your journey through grief.
Grief is the end of one life chapter but can be an opening to a new transformative chapter, if you have emotional support and strategies to go through this "dark night of the soul." Ms. Kurz offers compassionate and practical support to people suffering tragedy or loss in their life.
Grieving the loss of a loved one is an incredibly personal experience, and no two journeys through grief are the same. At Mission Connection, we offer a compassionate space where you can process your loss at your own pace. Through individual therapy, process groups, and experiential therapies, we help you navigate your feelings of sorrow, honor your loss, and begin to heal.
I am a licensed clinical psychologist who believes in the resilience of the human spirit. Living in society can seem chaotic, yet we yearn for love and harmony. Therapy can offer a means of releasing energy permitting possibilities for contentment.
Loss or grief comes in many different forms, whether it's a severed relationship or a death of a loved one. I provide a safe place to process this grief and provide the support needed based on individual needs.
I specialize in providing compassionate support for individuals navigating the complex emotions associated with loss and grief. I understand that the experience of losing a loved one, a relationship, or even a significant life change can evoke a profound sense of sorrow, confusion, and isolation.
In our sessions, we will create a safe and supportive space for you to express your feelings and share your experiences. Together, we will explore the stages of grief and how they manifest in your life. I use a combination of person-centered therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you process your emotions, challenge negative thought patterns, and develop healthy coping strategies.
I also incorporate mindfulness techniques to promote present-moment awareness, allowing you to find moments of peace amid the chaos of grief. These practices can help you cultivate self-compassion and manage overwhelming emotions.
A vital part of our work will involve psychoeducation, providing you with insights into the grieving process. Understanding the normalcy of your reactions can help normalize your experience and empower you to navigate your journey.
My goal is to support you in honoring your grief while fostering healing and growth. Together, we can work towards finding meaning and hope as you navigate this difficult chapter of your life.
One of the most difficult experiences one can face is losing someone they care about. Grief can cause us to feel stressed, depressed, guilty, and so much more. I offer a space where my clients can ask the questions and say the things they are unable to do so with other people. Together, we work on processing the grief, and also taking steps towards new ways of relating to the people who may no longer be present.
