I am dedicated to helping individuals overcome their personal challenges and live a happy, healthy life. I encourage engaging and speaking with a counselor because it is a highly rewarding, beneficial process. I have a deep understanding of the complexities of the human mind and the power of psychological flexibility. I provide a safe and supportive space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
It is my great joy to experience clients emerging refreshed and energized from guided sessions l
ready for new discoveries. Hypnotherapy can help one to go within and access regions of the subconscious and superconcious minds to facilitate learning and create new pathways.
I counsel people at my office or via the phone. Allow my 25+ years of counseling experience to help guide you in your challenges. Call for a free 15 minute consultation. I have a non-judgmental compassionate approach my clients appreciate.
I am focused on helping adults successfully navigate both new and chronic stressors in their lives. These stressors may be anxiety, grief and loss, traumatic experiences, new diagnoses, ongoing health conditions, caregiver stress, and life transitions. We will all encounter difficulties in our lives and my goal is to help you work through the things you are struggling with. I am able to hold your stories with compassion.
My role is as collaborator, guide, coach and empathetic listener. Together we will work to explore your goals and how I can best support your journey there. I believe clients can become the heroes of their lives and help them tap into their own wisdom and healing capacity. I employ an ultra-brief but regular survey-based feedback process to help me tailor my approach to fit you, identify my mistakes, and help us make the best use of your time and resources.
We are all unique individuals which means that each person I meet with requires special attention. My background and specialties were chosen based on my personal and professional experiences as it relates to our mental and physical wellbeing. Much of this revolves around the fact that behavioral change is not usually easy but has to be a foundation of treatment in order to obtain each individual's optimal health. My hope is to be a catalyst for change, and my goal is to create a safe environment to better reinforce long-term change. My experience provides the opportunity to educate, support, and empower each person that I encounter on a daily basis.

If you are looking for guidance with anxiety, fears, depression, or relationship and marriage counseling, it takes courage to ask for help. Admitting you can’t do everything on your own, is the first step toward achieving wellness in a fast paced, demanding world.
The good news is, asking for help gets easier with a little practice. The way in which we cope in the world is greatly influenced by how we see the world. Asking for help, and obtaining a fresh perspective is often the first and most profound step toward developing the mental muscle needed to become stronger. The more support you gain, the better equipped you will be to take on bigger challenges and achieve more successes.

Did you grow up in high-demand religion, such as a small fundamentalist church or an extremely conservative denomination? Has this affected your life in more ways than one, even if you're now an atheist adult? Maybe you still struggle to trust people, or feel like you fit in, or have strained family and romantic relationships.
I've been there, and I can help. Not all therapists understand what religious trauma is like, especially "lower-case 't' trauma" when you can't point to one single explanation for why church was harmful to you. A lot of religious trauma therapists are also Christian; this doesn't mean that they're bad at what they do, but you might feel the need to work with someone from a more agnostic or skeptical worldview.
