Here you are struggling and searching for help but overwhelmed with all the options. Let's start with a conversation. I am a licensed psychologist who works with adults (+18) virtually in all PSYPACT states. I am trained as a generalist, with a focus in trauma, women's issues, and perinatal mental health. Together we will explore aspects of your life - the thoughts, beliefs, and feelings - that are creating conflict and challenges. My goal in therapy is to facilitate a trusting atmosphere to empower, inspire, and challenge. Therapy is work. It is about identifying and unpacking beliefs about yourself, others, and the world that cause distress or no longer serve you. I bring a compassionate and curious approach to my work and support individuals as they give voice to their experiences.
Outside of my therapy practice, I am a distance runner, mom, and avid reader. I enjoy spending time in nature, going on adventures with my partner and children, and creating moments of joy in the kitchen either cooking or baking.

Treatment Approach
- Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) Helps people accept difficult thoughts and feelings instead of fighting them, while committing to actions that reflect their values. It blends mindfulness with practical behavior strategies.
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Combines CBT with mindfulness to help regulate emotions, tolerate stress, and build stronger relationships. Originally designed for borderline personality disorder, it’s now used more broadly.
- Eclectic Therapy Draws from different therapeutic methods based on what fits each client best. It is flexible and personalized rather than following one single model.
- Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) Focuses on strengthening emotional bonds in couples or families. It helps people identify negative cycles and create more secure connections.
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) A structured therapy that uses guided eye movements to help process traumatic memories. It is widely recognized for treating PTSD and trauma-related conditions.
- Integrative Therapy Combines techniques from multiple approaches into a customized plan. It adapts to each client’s unique situation and needs.
- Internal Family Systems (IFS) Helps clients heal by working with different ‘parts’ of themselves, like inner critics or wounded children. It fosters harmony within the self.
- Narrative Therapy Encourages people to view problems as separate from themselves and reframe their life story. It helps build resilience and self-identity.
- Psychoeducational Therapy Provides education and coping tools about mental health conditions. It empowers clients with knowledge and practical skills.
- Relational Psychotherapy Emphasizes the healing power of the therapist-client relationship. It uses trust and safety as a foundation for change.
- Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) Focuses on solutions and future goals rather than past problems. It is practical, short-term, and goal-driven.
Approach Description: My approach to therapy is informed by Adlerian and Constructivist Theories, which understands an individual’s experience of the world based on his or her subjective and personal perception of self, others, and the world. I believe in using the therapeutic relationship to focus on your strengths and assets in order to empower you with the tools to live emotionally healthy and safe lifestyles. I strive to facilitate a trusting atmosphere through which to empower, inspire, and challenge. I bring a compassionate and curious approach to my work to effectively meet clients’ needs, sprinkled in with humor and wit. I work with adults (18+). Together we will explore aspects of your life - the thoughts, beliefs, and feelings - that are creating conflict and challenges. I share the belief of Nido Qubein that, “Your present circumstances don't determine where you can go, they merely determine where you start.”

I approach therapy from a trauma focus. The first few sessions are about building trust and connect, to explore your goals and create the best approach to meeting them. We spend time identifying and challenging any beliefs that no longer serve you. Being vulnerable and willing to do the work in therapy is hard but it will help you create a life worth living. Together, we find the path to healing.
Typically, during the intake session, we will discuss what is bringing in for therapy, what you hope to get out of therapy, and some basic background information about you. Policies, fees, and scheduling will be discussed during this session. I will explore any questions or concerns you have about therapy, my approach to treatment to help determine whether you feel comfortable working with me, and if I am a good fit for your needs. At the end of your initial intake, we will review your goals for therapy, the type of therapy that would be most beneficial for you, frequency of sessions, and schedule your next appointment. The intake session is about 60 minutes long.
Individual therapy is just that - individual. All individual sessions scheduled after your initial intake are for 55 minutes, unless a shorter or longer session is deemed necessary. Sessions are typically scheduled once a week.
We will explore treatment goals together to determine the length of time needed to accomplish your goals. Each individual is different. Some people benefit from brief therapy (4-8 sessions), while others require more long-term treatment to process what is bringing them in. We will continually assess and explore treatment progress together to determine when you have met your goals.
I do not believe therapy is meant to be forever. We will frequently be discussing the therapy process and your progress to ensure you are receiving excellent care. My ultimate goal is to empower you to have the tools to create a life worth living.
